
Three Terps Named B1G Players to Watch

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team had three players selected as Players to Watch in the Big Ten Conference this season.
Seniors Alexandra Papell and Panitta Yusabai joined freshman Xiaolin Tian on the prestigious list.
Papell led Maryland at the Big Ten Championship last season, who tied for 21st in the tournament after shooting team-low scores on day one and day three of the tournament.
Yusabai was the Terps top golfer in the fall, tying for first on the team with six rounds of 75 or less.
Tian, a native of Hhot Nei Mongol, China, Hohhot Nei Mongol, China, finished in second place at the Dutch Brabants Open with a final round of 69 and took second at the 2014 Trofeo Internazionale Umberto Agnelli. She also registered a 10th place finish in the stroke play portion of the Spanish Ladies Amateur Championship prior to landing in College Park.
Maryland begins its season when it travels to the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate in Knoxville, Tenn., on Sept. 12.
