COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland gymnastics team will honor its seniors Sunday when the Terps host No. 9 Kentucky, Pitt and William & Mary at 2 p.m.

gymterps to honor seniors sunday
• Maryland will honor its senior class at the team's quad meet Sunday.
• Emily Brauckmuller has been a regular in the Maryland lineup on vault and floor. She holds a career high 9.775 on vault. Brauckmuller has been one of Maryland's most consistent performers on floor, and is averaging a 9.838 in the event this season. She set a career high with a 9.900 against Michigan.
• Sarah Faller has been a contributor on vault, bars and beam since her freshman season. Often competing in the leadoff or anchor spot, Faller set a career high on beam with a 9.925 on Friday. She holds a career best 9.850 on bars and set a personal best on vault with a 9.825 vs. Michigan.
• Leah Slobodin has been an outstanding performer on floor for the Terps. Also filling in on vault or beam, Slodobin set a career high with a 9.850 on beam at the 2015 Big Ten Championships. She tallied a career high 9.825 on floor at the Big Five meet last season.

• The Terps placed third at the George Washington five meet on Friday. Maryland earned its second highest score of the season with a 195.275.
• Freshman Morgan Bixler won the vault title with a career-best 9.900. Freshman Alecia Farina tied for the uneven bars title with a 9.900, which set a personal best.
• Senior Sarah Faller set a career high on balance beam and finished second with a 9.925. Senior Emily Brauckmuller finished third on floor with a 9.850.

• The Terps are currently tied for 41st with an average score of 194.250. Maryland ranks 38th on uneven bars with an average of 48.688. The Terps rank 38th on vault with a 48.671 average.

Scouting the kentucky wildcats
• Kentucky is coming off an upset of No. 6 Alabama, 197.475-197.050, last Friday. The score was Kentucky's highest in program history.
• Mollie Korth was named SEC Freshman of the Week after winning the all-around title with a 39.625.
• The Wildcats' strongest event this season is beam, where they're averaging a 49.161, which ranks eighth nationally.
• Maryland is 6-7 vs. Kentucky all-time. The teams last competed in the 2014 NCAA Regionals, where Kentucky won.
SCOUTING THE penn quakers
• The Quakers finished fourth at the Rutgers quad meet last week, scoring a 190.825. The Terps won the meet with a 195.050.
• The Quakers' strongest event this season has been floor, where Penn is averaging a 48.555.
SCOUTING THE william & mary tribe
• The Tribe are coming off a fifth-place finish at the GWU five meet. William & Mary scored a 192.725. Aaliyah Kerr tied for first on floor with a 9.900.
• Freshman Caroline Caponi placed second in the all-around last weekend, tallying a career-high 38.925.
• Maryland and William & Mary will compete again on March 1.

• The Terps have hit a groove midway through the 2017 slate.
• Against then-No. 7 Michigan on Feb. 5, Maryland broke through, posting a season-high 195.625 and tallying season-highs on vault (48.850), bars (49.150) and floor (49.100).
• The Terps kept their momentum going the following weekend, winning the Rutgers quad meet with a 195.050.
• Maryland has been more consistent in the stretch and hasn't counted a fall in February.

• Senior Sarah Faller has stepped up as Maryland's leader on vault, anchoring the lineup.
• Faller has tallied a 9.750 or higher in every meet this season on the event, including three 8.800s or higher.
• In the last two meets, Faller has earned a 9.825. The senior is averaging a 9.792 on vault.

• As just a freshman, Alecia Farina has stepped into the Maryland lineups on vault, bars and floor and become one of the Terps' top performers.
• Farina has scored a 9.7250 or higher on vault in five meets, a 9.825 or higher on bars in five meets and a 9.800 or higher on floor in four meets.
• The Broadview Heights, Ohio native holds a season-high 9.775 on vault, a 9.850 on bars and a 9.900 on floor.
• Farina was named one of Maryland's Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch at the beginning of the season.
sophomores solid for gymterps
• Maryland's sophomore class has been competing consistently in its season in College Park.
• Shynelle Agaran tallied a season-high 9.850 on bars against Michigan and has posted a 9.750 or higher in four meets.
• Amanda Bertorello has been a regular in the Maryland lineups on bars, beam and floor. She has scored a 9.700 or higher on floor in every meet, including a career-high 9.800 on Jan. 14. Bertorello scored a career-high 9.750 on beam in the Rutgers quad meet. She has scored a 9.700 or higher in five meets on vault, including a career-high 9.775 vs. Michigan.
• Megan McClelland has seen time in the bars lineup this season and has been a mainstay in the floor lineup. She has posted a 9.700 or higher on floor in the last three meets.
youth movement
• Maryland welcomed one of the top freshman classes in program history this season, and the newest Terps have made an immediate impact.
• Five freshmen have found their way into the Maryland lineup this season. Alecia Farina, Kirsten Peterman and Deanna Magro have competed in every meet this season while Morgan Bixler and Emma Johnson have also seen time for the Terps.
• Sophomores Shynelle Agaran, Amanda Bertorello and Megan McClelland have also been key for the Terps.
• Ten of Maryland's 17 gymnasts are underclassmen.
from canada to college park
• Freshman Kirsten Peterman brings extensive international experience to the Terps as she's been a member of the Canadian national team since 2012 and the senior national team since 2014.
• Peterman was one of 11 gymnasts selected to compete in the Gymnastics Canada Rio Selection camp ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics.
• She helped lead Canada to a second-place finish at the 2016 Pacific Rim Championships and placed second in the all-around.
TERPS TO APPEAR ON BTN THREE TIMES
• The Maryland gymnastics team will be featured on the Big Ten Network three times this season.
• The Terps' meet vs. Michigan in the XFINITY Center on Sunday, Feb. 5 will be aired live on BTN Plus at noon. Fans can catch a replay of the meet at 4 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
• Maryland will compete in one of two Big 5 meets at Illinois on Saturday, March 11. The meet will be aired live on BTN at 3 p.m.
• Both sessions of the Big Ten Championships will be aired live on BTN. The first session will take place at noon while the second session will be at 5 p.m.
• All Maryland home meets will be featured on BTN Plus.
