COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Members of the Maryland field hockey team have spent time the past two days reading to local elementary school students.
The Terrapins visited students at Cherokee Lane Elementary, Ride Crest Elementary and Burnt Mills Elementary.
"It was really fun and rewarding to read to all of the kids especially hearing them laugh and seeing smiles on their faces," junior Lein Holsboer said. "Definitely something I would love to do again."
Maryland will open its spring slate this weekend at the Big Apple Indoor Tournament in Pottstown, Pa. For more on the Terps' spring schedule, click here.
