"This weekend was very up and down for us. We started off slow yesterday morning but then came back strong with a record low seven-under par round," head coach Diana Cantu said. "It was really great to watch how they were in control of their games and shot processes.
"Our goal starting the event was to play in the leading group the last round and this is the first time we achieved it this season. Overall it was a great experience for our rising team. We learned a lot this week and all of our players took a step back after the round to analyze their game in order to adjust and finish strong when we are in this position again at our next event."
Maryland travels to back to Georgia for the Brickyard Collegiate April 10-11 in Macon.
