Terps Compete at NCAA Regionals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Four members of the Maryland gymnastics team competed at the NCAA Gainesville Regional Saturday afternoon at Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Freshman Kirsten Peterman competed in the all-around, earning a 38.900 to place 10th. Peterman tallied a 9.750 on vault, a 9.750 on bars, a 9.675 on beam and a 9.725 on floor.
Senior Emily Brauckmuller posted a 9.800 on floor exercise. Brauckmuller has earned a 9.800 or higher on floor in every meet this season.
Freshman Alecia Farina also competed on floor, notching a 9.750.
Senior Sarah Faller scored a 9.650 on vault and a 9.775 on beam.
The host Gators won the regional, followed by Georgia. Both teams advance to the 12-team NCAA Championships.
