
Terps Earn Top Seed in NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – For the fifth straight season, the Maryland women's lacrosse team earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament Sunday evening.
The Terps (19-0) will host Towson (12-6) and High Point (15-3) in the first round on Friday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex at 4 p.m. Maryland will face the winner in the second round on Sunday at noon.
Tickets are available for $6 for adults and $4 for youth/seniors. Fans can purchase tickets here.
Following second round action, four quarterfinal games will be played on Saturday, May 20 or Sunday, May 21, on campus sites. The NCAA semifinals and finals will take place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Friday, May 26 and Sunday, May 28.
The Terrapins have compiled a 19-0 record so far and captured the 2017 Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.
Maryland leads the nation with 33 NCAA appearances and are also tops in wins (65), championship game appearances (20) and NCAA titles (12). The Terps are making their 28th consecutive appearance in the postseason (1990-2017).
