Terps on Tour Visits Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, Md. - The 2017 Terps on Tour traveled to Dave & Buster's in Silver Spring as Terrapin coaches and athletic department staff met with fans Thursday evening.
Head coaches DJ Durkin, (football), John Tillman (men's lacrosse), Cathy Reese (women's lacrosse), Steve Aird (volleyball) and Sasho Cirovski (men's soccer) addressed the fans at the event.
"We love coaching at Maryland and relish the opportunity," said Tillman. "Our fans have been with us through this incredible journey. Our team really embraced the opportunity and we are very proud of them."
"It's so special to see so many of our fans and supporters in one room," Reese told the crowd. "Our senior class is very special. They won three National Championships the last four years and only lost three games in that span. They are unbelievable student-athletes and make us all very proud."
Longtime Maryland Sports Radio Network analyst Chris Knoche emceed the event, then the coaches, their families and fans were able to play games.
"What a great event this is," Durkin said wrapping up the coaches speaking portion of the night. "This is what college athletics is all about. There is so much love for this university in the room. We have tremendous coaches here at Maryland and I'm proud to be part of the same athletic department as all of these great coaches."
