ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Maryland men's soccer team was picked to win the 2017 Big Ten Conference title according to a poll released by the league's coaches Wednesday.
The Terps have captured three straight Big Ten tournament championships and two of the last three regular season crowns since entering the league in 2014.
In addition, juniors Amar Sejdic, Gordon Wild, and Eryk Williamson were named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list. Wild – who was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch list last week – was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year last season. Wild joined Sejdic on the Big Ten First Team while Williamson garnered second team honors.
After playing host to an exhibition against No. 8 Syracuse on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field, the Terps hit the road for a West Coast tilt against Santa Clara next Friday.
Season tickets are available now for $80 for adults and $50 for youth and seniors. Season tickets can be purchased here and include a limited edition 2017 Maryland Soccer scarf.
