SAAC Hosts Student-Athlete Welcome Back BBQ

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – With the 2017 fall semester in full swing, the University of Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted a Welcome Back Barbeque for all student-athletes Monday night.
Students from all 20 athletic teams gathered at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium to kick off the 2017-2018 athletic season. University president Dr. Wallace Loh, Executive Athletic Director Damon Evans and SAAC Vice President Adam Greene addressed student-athletes and Maryland Athletics staff about the importance of athletics and academics.
While enjoying dinner, student-athletes also had the opportunity to play carnival games, including corn hole and connect four. The dinner was also attended by the Athletics Council and the Terrapins Club Board of Directors.
