COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's soccer team is ranked No. 6 by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the NSCAA) preseason poll, announced Friday.
The Terps were 18-1-2 overall a year ago and return MAC Hermann Trophy finalist and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Gordon Wild, who scored 17 goals as a sophomore in 2016. Maryland also welcomes back first team All-Big Ten pick Amar Sejdic and second-teamer Eryk Williamson in addition to All-Freshman Team selection Donovan Pines, who will be called upon to help replace the hole left by departed defenders Chris Odoi-Atsem, Alex Crognale and Suli Dainkeh.
