COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland volleyball team (11-2, 0-1 B1G) continues a four-match road stand at Indiana (11-2, 0-1) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Maryland is on the road for the rest of the month, with trips to Michigan and Michigan State coming up next weekend.
The Terps dropped to Ohio State in three sets in Columbus on Wednesday night. Sophomore outside hitter Gia Milana led the Terrapins with 10 kills, notching double-digit kills for the seventh time this season.
Maryland is 3-3 all-time vs. Indiana. Last season, the Terps swept the Hoosiers in their final match of the season and the teams' lone competition in 2016. Indiana fell to Illinois in three sets in their Big Ten opener on Wednesday. Kendall Beerman leads the Hoosiers with 3.65 kills per set.
The Terps received votes in Monday's AVCA Coaches Poll. The last time Maryland was ranked in the poll was on Nov. 7, 2005.
Maryland went 11-1 in nonconference play, the team's best showing in nonconference play since going 8-1 in 2007. The Terps began the season with 10 straight wins, the best start to a season for the program since 2005.
As a senior, middle blocker Hailey Murray has stepped up as a leader in the front row. She is averaging 2.00 kills per set and 1.04 blocks per set, and currently ranks second in the conference with a .500 hitting percentage.
In just her first season as a Terp, freshman outside hitter Erika Pritchard has been a crucial player for the Terps. A member of the program's highest-ranked recruiting class, Pritchard is second on Maryland with 3.09 kills per set and leads the team with 0.60 service aces per set. The Middletown, Md., native ranks second in the Big Ten in aces per set.
