Solomon Eye Terp of the Week: Laura Van Respaille

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Each week during the 2017-18 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Laura Van Respaille of women's golf.
Van Respaille was named Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week Wednesday for her first career weekly honor.
In just her third collegiate tournament, Van Respaille finished four-under par to win the Nittany Lion Invitational tournament Sunday at the Penn State Blue Course. She shot a 212 (74-68-70) and finished two strokes ahead of the second-place finishers. She was four-under overall.
Maryland swept the team and individual titles at the Nittany Lion Invitational. The Terps topped the Nittany Lions by three strokes for the team win.
As a team, the Terps shot a 282 in Saturday's second round, which was the lowest score of the tournament. They finished with an overall combined score of 863 (293-282-288), which was one-under par overall.
