ROSEMONT, Ill.  – Five members of the second-ranked Maryland field hockey team (17-2) racked up All-Big Ten honors, as voted by the league's head coaches this week.

Senior
Linnea Gonzales was voted Big Ten Player of the Year, sophomore
Bodil Keus was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and
Bibi Donraadt was honored as Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Junior
Nike Lorenz earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors and senior
Olivia Reiter earned a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

Gonzales was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten First Team for her third career All-Conference honor. Gonzales finished the season with 14 goals – second in the conference – and with 32 points this year. She leads the Terrapins, the conference's most potent offensive team, in scoring. This weekend, she reached the 100 career points mark with her 44
th career goal to go with 12 assists. Gonzales was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2015.

Keus, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year just last year, was also voted to the All-Big Ten First Team. She is No. 2 in the country and leads the league in defensive saves with  three this season. Keus helped anchor a Terrapin defense that picked up five shutouts, three over Big Ten opponents. Keus has also scored seven goals and notched six assists for the Terps this season.

Donraadt is tied with Lorenz for second on the team in scoring with 11 goals and leads the squad with four game-winning goals. She is tied for sixth in the league in scoring. Eight of her scores came against top 25 opponents and was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice in October.

Lorenz scored 11 goals in 12 games for the Terrapins and was second in the conference in goals per game with 0.92. Lorenz notched three game-winning goals and was twice named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.
Reiter has played in 50 career games for the Terps with two goals and an assist. The senior tore her ACL before the season and has brought positivity to her teammates every day.Â

Top-seeded Maryland dominated ninth-seeded Michigan State, 6-0, Sunday afternoon in the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament quarterfinals at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
