
Terps in the Lead after Day 2 of B1G Championship

MAINEVILLE, Ohio – The Maryland women's golf team moved up to first in the standings after shooting a team record-low 280 (-8) as a team Saturday at the 2018 Big Ten Championship at TPC River's Bend.
Sophomore Xiaolin Tian was outstanding in the second round for the Maryland women's golf team. Tian ended the first day in 12th place after shooting a 72 (E) for the round. The sophomore posted a five-under 67 today, landing her tied for second on the leaderboard with an overall score of 139 (-5) after two days.
Junior Ludovica Farina ended the day with a second round score of 72 (E). This brings her total score to a 143 (-1) through two rounds. She now sits at tied for ninth for the tournament.
Freshman Virunpat Olankitkunchai improved upon her first-round 74 (+2) by shooting a three-under-par 69 today. This brings her overall score to a 143 (-1) through two rounds. She's also tied for ninth on the individual scoreboard.
Freshman Laura Van Respaille shot a 72 (E) today, matching her first round performance. This brings her overall score to a 144 (E) through the second round.
Junior Ludovica Scandroglio shot a 74 (+2) today, bringing her to an overall score of 147 (+3) through two rounds. Freshman Charlotte Lafourcade also shot a 74 (+2) today, bringing her overall score to 150 (+6) for the tournament.
The Terps return to action Sunday at 8 a.m. for the final round of the championships.
