COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Despite recording defensive and special team touchdowns, Maryland (2-1) dropped a 35-14 decision to Temple (1-2) in the Terrapins' 2018 home opener Saturday afternoon at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.

Jesse Aniebonam blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown to pull the Terps to within 28-14, but Temple's Shaun Bradley returned an interception 78 yards for a touchdown with 4:11 left to seal the Owls victory.
Maryland begins Big Ten play at home against Minnesota next Saturday. The Terps beat the Gophers on the road last year, 31-24. The game is set for a noon kick on BTN.
