Position Summary
The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work under the medical supervision of the head team physician and is responsible for the day-to-day sports medicine/athletic training operations for assigned sport(s); to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; maintaining medical records; monitoring insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, team physicians, athletic trainers and administration; attending team practices and events; manage functional movement assessments, corrective exercises and injury prevention programming. Collaborate with Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition and Mental Health providers and assist the Director of Athletic Training with other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Athletic Training educational program or related field;
- Current National Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers; CPR and AED Certification for healthcare workers by an accredited organization;
- Two (2) years of experience as a certified athletic trainer in collegiate or professional sport organization; currently possess and/or eligible for State of Maryland Athletic Training License;
- Possess a valid driver's license; strong communication, organizational, administrative, and teamwork skills; available to work a flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Master's degree from an accredited athletic training educational program degree or related field;
- Five (5) years baseball experience preferred; experience with assessment and interpretation of relevant performance data monitoring, preventive screening and recovery practices for athletes;
- Manual therapy techniques, kinesiotaping, and advanced clinical skills are preferred.
