Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Maryland football team fell to No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon.
Javon Leake averaged 6.7 yards per rush, tallying 40 yards on six carries. Dontay Demus Jr. caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Josh Jackson, his fifth of the season, the most by a Maryland sophomore since DJ Moore had six in 2016 and Tayon Fleet-Davis tallied a 12-yard touchdown run, his seventh of his career. Antoine Brooks Jr. led the Terps with 10 tackles while Nick Cross had a career-best nine.
Leake accumulated 164 kick return yards to move to 1,392 all-time, passing Steve Suter, now standing sixth all-time in program history.
Maryland will have a bye week next weekend before hosting Nebraska on Saturday, November 23 for senior day at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
