IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Maryland volleyball team lost to Iowa Saturday night in Carver-Hawkeye Arena in four sets, 25-20, 20-25, 22-25, 19-25.
Maryland edged Iowa in aces (7), blocks (9), and digs (55), but the Hawkeyes came out ahead in kills (56) and assists (46).
Junior outside hitter 
Erika Pritchard led the team with 14 kills, while 
Rainelle Jones added 10 and 
Rebekah Rath contributed seven.
Erika Pritchard also led the team in aces, serving back-to-back-to-back service aces early on in the first set. 
Katie Myers and 
Nicole Alford each served additional aces.
Nicole Alford led the team in assists with 35, while 
Maddie Naumann paced the squad with 16 digs.
Maryland finishes the 2019 campaign at 13-19, including a 5-15 mark in the Big Ten.
