A LOOK AT THE WOLVERINES
The fourth-ranked Wolverines (10-1, 6-1 B1G) enter a weekend trip to Maryland and Rutgers following a bounce-back victory over Northwestern last weekend. Michigan suffered its first and only loss of the season in its previous match, falling to top-ranked Penn State.
The Wolverines have battled a strong schedule this year, with non-conference bouts against sixth-ranked Lehigh and 16th-ranked Arizona State to go along with a challenging conference slate.
Michigan boasts a handful of ranked wrestlers, including top-ranked 133-pounder Stevan Micic. Micic was a runner-up at 133 pounds in the 2018 NCAA Championships and is 11-0 on the year.
In addition to Micic, the Wolverines will have ranked grapplers at eight of the ten weight classes, including top-10 wrestlers Kanen Storr (141), Alec Pantaleo (157), Logan Massa (165), Myles Amine (174) and Mason Parris (285).
The Wolverines are coached by Sean Bormet, who is in his first year as the head coach after serving as an assistant for the seven seasons prior.
A LOOK AT THE PATRIOTS
George Mason (8-5, 3-3 EWL) will wrestle American on Friday before hosting the Terps in their final home showdown on Sunday.
The Patriots' latest outing featured a 36-10 win over non-conference foe Franklin & Marshall, with GMU winning eight of the ten matches. George Mason is enjoying a bounce-back season, already doubling its win total from the 2017-18 campaign.
Mason's lone ranked wrestler will be 15th-ranked heavyweight Matt Voss, who will be the fifth-consecutive ranked foe for Maryland's senior heavyweight
Youssif Hemida.
