SAAC to Raise Money for Team IMPACT, Host Fan Fest April 27

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's annual Fan Fest event in April will raise money for for Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization that connects children facing serious and chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes.
Fans, alumni and the community are invited to join Maryland's student-athletes on April 27 for a community celebration and to support Team IMPACT by purchasing a t-shirt or clicking the "Donate Now" button using the following link: ter.ps/saac.
"We hope that you will consider donating to this incredible cause," said SAAC President Abigail Bentz. "It means so much that the Terrapin community can come together to raise money for something far bigger than any of our accomplishments."
Fan Fest 2019
On Saturday, April 27th, the University of Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting its fourth annual "Fan Fest" immediately following the football team's spring game at Maryland Stadium. Student-athlete representatives from numerous teams will be ready to meet and interact with fans through a variety of fun activities such as corn hole, football toss, face painting, photo opportunities and more. There will also be a Team IMPACT station where student-athletes will continue to raise donations and awareness for the organization and the impact it leaves on all those touched by its mission.
In addition, the football team and head coach Michael Locksley will be meeting fans and signing autographs.

Team IMPACT is a national non-profit organization with the goal of bettering the lives of children facing medical issues. Several teams at Maryland welcome a Team IMPACT kiddo as a part of their organizations. The simple but powerful concept of matching children with serious or chronic medical conditions with college athletic teams has provided countless memories for the kids, as well as providing life lessons and perspective to athletes that cannot be learned in the classroom..
