Maryland Releases 2019 Slate

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland field hockey team will face off against the toughest competition in the country in 2019, as the Terrapins released their fall schedule Wednesday.
The Terps will take on eight of the other 15 teams from last year's NCAA Tournament and 10 teams in the final Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches poll from last season.
Maryland, which was ranked No. 2 in the final NFHCA poll of 2018, will host Princeton (No. 4), Connecticut (No. 5), Iowa (No. 7), Penn State (No. 9) and Virginia (No. 13) in College Park. The Terrapins will take on Duke (No. 3), Michigan (No. 8), Rutgers (No. 11), Ohio State (No. 21), and Northwestern (No. 25) away from the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
The Terrapins will play in the 5th annual B1G/ACC Cup Sept. 6-8 in Evanston, Ill. They will take on Duke and Boston College in the event, hosted by Northwestern.
The Big Ten Tournament will be played Nov. 8-10 at Penn State in State College, Pa.
The NCAA Tournament will open Nov. 15 and 17 at campus sites. The NCAA Semifinals and Finals will be Nov. 22-24 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Terrapins will play the DC Dragons in an exhibition on Aug. 23 at the Field hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
All home games will be played at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex and admission for all regular season games is free. Parking information will be available before each game.
