Assistant Athletic Trainer

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the day-to-day sports medicine/athletic training operations for assigned sport(s); to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events; manage functional movement assessments, corrective exercises, and injury prevention programming; assisting with administrative duties; and performing other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, or related field/concentration required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer providing health care for intercollegiate and/or professional athletes required. An Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the degree. Strong organization, administrative and communication skills. Maryland board of M.D. licensing or eligibility.
Master's degree in a related field preferred. Previous athletic training experience with Gymnastics athletes preferred. Experience with assessment and interpretation of relevant preventive screening and recovery practices for Gymnastics athletes preferred.
Must have current Board of Certification (BOC) along with CPR/AED Certifications. Must be eligible for Maryland State Licensure through the Board of Physicians.
