Assistant Coach, Wrestling

The Assistant Wrestling Coach will assist the Head Coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division 1 wrestling program that competes in the Big Ten Conference. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, coaching, travel coordination, program administration, fund-raising and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach will be expected to develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public, and have knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Dedication to full academic development of student-athletes as well to the health, safety, well-being and holistic development of student-athletes are essential.
Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of NCAA Division I collegiate coaching experience is required along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferences include: collegiate wrestling experience at the NCAA Division I level; a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; experience working constructively with a diverse population; and knowledge of and experience with NCAA rules and regulations is preferred.
