Terps Welcome Newcomers at Football Family Luncheon

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland football family grew on Sunday as Head Coach Michael Locksley and the Terps staff welcomed 21 newcomers and their families to the Gossett Football Team House for an orientation and luncheon.
"Our newest family members showed up on campus today and we're excited about the start of the future," said Locksley. "It was great just to have everyone in one place, our newest student-athletes, their families and our entire staff. It was a great way to spend Father's Day as these guys are a big part of our football family here at Maryland."
The families arrived on campus and moved in on Sunday morning before heading over to the Football Team House to meet the staff. After the Football Family luncheon, the newest Terps toured the weight room and met with equipment staff before finishing their move-in.
The new Terps will join the returning players on Monday as summer workouts and class continue.
