EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The University of Maryland volleyball team lost its Big Ten road opener tonight at Michigan State in three sets, 17-25, 18-25, 19-25.
Maryland hit at its lowest clip of the season (.097), while also tallying its least kills (32), service aces (0), and total blocks (6.0).
Freshman outside hitter
Rebekah Rath led the team in kills with 10, the only Terp to record double-digit kills on the night.
Erika Pritchard added nine while
Jada Gardner contributed 5.
Katie Myers led the team with four blocks,
Samantha Snyder set a team-high 14 assists, and
Allegra Rivas added a team-best 12 digs.
Next, Maryland will host Michigan at the XFINITY Center Pavilion in College Park on Friday, Oct. 4 and will rematch Michigan State the following Saturday, Oct. 5.
