COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland turned in a prolific offensive performance for the second week in a row, dismantling #21 Syracuse, 63-20 on Saturday at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. Here are some of the most impressive team and individual notes from the Week Two win.

- Maryland's 63 points are its most ever against a ranked opponent and the second time in as many seasons that the Terps put up 63 against a Power Five opponent (Illinois, 10/27/18).
- This is the first time in program history that Maryland has scored 55+ points in back-to-back games.
- Maryland's 142 points this season are the most through the first two games in a season by a Big Ten team since Ohio State in 1996 and tied for the fourth-most since 1900.
- Maryland's 42 first half points are the most for the Terps against a Power Five opponent since scoring 45 against North Carolina on November 1, 2003.
- The 42 points are the most in a half against a ranked opponent since Maryland scored 42 in the second half to complete a comeback against #6 Miami on November 10, 1984.
- The Terps 98 combined points in the last two first halves (Howard & Syracuse) are the most in program history.

- The Terps had six rushing touchdowns, their most since also running for six against Towson on September 9, 2017.
- RB Anthony McFarland Jr. is the first Maryland running back to have two-plus rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games since Brandon Ross in 2015 vs. Indiana (11/21) and Rutgers (11/28)
- McFarland is also the first Terp with three touchdowns in the first half since CJ Brown in the season opener against James Madison on August 30, 2014.
- RB Javon Leake posted his second career 100-yard rushing game and tied the longest rush of his career with his 64-yard TD run in the third quarter.
- McFarland and Leake are the first Maryland running back duo to each score two rushing touchdowns since Ty Johnson and Brandon Ross against Rutgers on November 28, 2015.

- With TE Tyler Mabry's first quarter touchdown reception, he becomes the first Maryland tight end with a touchdown in back-to-back games since Dan Gronkowski in 2008 vs. California (9/13) and Eastern Michigan (9/20).

- LB Keandre Jones tallied two sacks in today's contest and now has 3.5 on the season.
- The Terps 12 sacks through its first two games are the most over a two-game span since Maryland finished the year with 12 (7 vs. Rutgers, 5 vs. Boston College) in 2016.

- Maryland won the turnover battle yet again, with LB Keandre Jones forcing his first career fumble, recovered by LB Ayinde Eley and S Jordan Mosley notching his first career interception.
- This marks Maryland's 14th game in a row with a takeaway, the fourth longest streak in the FBS, trailing only Houston, Mississippi State and Syracuse.
