COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Each week during the 2019-20 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is freshman Ashley Owusu of women's basketball.

Freshman Ashley Owusu was named Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player Sunday after a phenomenal run in her first career postseason event. She led the Terrapins to their fourth Big Ten title in their six years in the league. She led the team with 15.3 points, 8.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 83 percent from the foul line. She poured in 17 points, 11 assists and six assists in the Championship game Sunday night.

Earlier last week, Owusu was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
