Every week umterps.com will feature two gymnasts in Tumble Talk! This week we'll be getting to know rising senior Collea Burgess and rising sophomore Emma Silberman!

Favorite food in College Park?
Collea: Chipotle all day, every day.
Emma: Chipotle, burrito bowl with white rice, chicken, black beans, cheese, lettuce, and guacamole

Favorite Movie?
Collea: My favorite movie is Cheaper By the Dozen 2. I have no idea why I love this movie so much but it has always made me laugh and I also want to have a big family so it gives me some ideas.
Emma: The Grinch, I used to watch it all the time as a kid.

Dream Job?
Collea:  want to work for a federal bureaucracy, the rest is top secret!
Emma: I am currently undecided but I am leaning towards psychology. With a psychology degree I could work towards becoming an athletic academic advisor like Chasity. She works closely with our team and has inspired me to become an athletic academic advisor.

Favorite event to compete?
Collea: Vault
Emma: Floor

If you could have a superpower what would it be?
Collea: Mind reading because I've always want to know what other people might be thinking in certain moments.
Emma: Teleporting, I want to be able to travel the world without the long plane rides.

If you could learn a new skill what would it be?
Collea: I would learn how to sculpt things out of clay, wood, metal, etc.
Emma: If I could learn a new skill it would be another language because I think being bilingual is both helpful and very cool.

The best place you have been?
Collea: Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica! I climbed the waterfall with my parents when I was six years old.
Emma: The best place I have ever been was the Grand Cannon in Arizona. It's crazy how big it is and also, I love hiking.

A childhood memory that resonates with you today?
Collea: I broke my arm when I was six or seven years old because I was practicing my new vault on the side of the couch. I still remember everything about that day and I tried to hide it from my baby sitter so that I wouldn't get in trouble. However, I got a really cool neon green cast so I felt good being able to show it off at school the next week.
Emma: Going to the Jersey Shore every summer.

Have you ever met someone famous?
Collea: I actually met the cast of Make It or Break it which was a gymnastics show on ABC Family a few years ago. I had just finished a club meet, I think I was a level 8 and they just so happened to be watching their stunt doubles compete at the same competition. They let us take pictures with them and we got autographs it was really cool and they were all really nice to us.

Do you have any weird food combinations that you love?
Collea: I am a very picky eater so I do not like experimenting with food combinations. The weirdest thing I do food wise is eat all of my food dry, no sauce or dressing!
Emma: French Fries and Milkshake

Dream Vacation?
Collea: I would love to go to Tahiti!
Emma: Greece!

Collea: All-American
Emma: Grey's Anatomy

If you had your own intro song, what would it be?
Collea: Megatron by Nicki Minaj

If you could play another sport in college, what would it be?
Collea: Softball, I would love to play an outdoor sport.
Emma: Lacrosse or Soccer

Your favorite holiday?
Collea: Thanksgiving because I love thanksgiving food and fall is my favorite time of the year.
Emma: Fourth Of July - My family always goes to the beach for the fourth and we spend all week there.

Collea: Twitter

What is the best gift you have ever received?
Collea: A car for my 16th birthday.
Emma: Concert tickets.

Who would you want to play you in a movie?
Collea: China Anne McClain or Vanessa Morgan
Emma: Ellen Pompeo

Why Maryland?
Collea: I chose Maryland because it has a great criminal justice major program, along with great academics. It was the perfect distance from my house and being here made me feel at home. I thought the gymnastics program was a great match towards what I was looking for because I was surrounded by a supportive coaching staff and an amazing group of girls! It has met my expectations and surprised me in new ways that I couldn't imagine.
Emma: I choose Maryland because it felt like home and because of the amazing academics they have. It has met my expectations, I love my team and all the amazing people I have met here.

Biggest pet-peeve?
Collea: Being ignored (in person or over text). 
Emma: Chewing with your mouth open.

What would you like your legacy to be?
Collea: I want to leave behind a legacy that inspires people to be themselves, stand up for themselves and for others and love who they are no matter what. I want people to know that it is inevitable that we will make mistakes and have misfortunes but it is how we respond to those events that changes who we are. I also want to leave behind a legacy of good humor and overall fun, I hope it can inspire people to just laugh more and live life on the funny side and not take life so seriously and enjoy the moment!
Emma: I want my legacy to be about how positive and hard working I am. I love coming to practice and getting better everyday with a smile. Why do something that does not make you happy.

What is your hobby?
Collea: Photography, poetry and graphic design 
Emma: Puzzles

Something we don't already know about you?
Collea: I've never tried ketchup before, but I refuse to eat it.  
Emma: I used to play soccer until high school and my dad was my coach.

Do you have a favorite family tradition?
Collea: Opening gifts after dinner on Christmas.
Emma: Going to the beach during the summer.

Who is your role model?
Collea: My Mom, she is one of the most powerful and confident people and I know and as always taught me to stand up for myself and for what's right. She's also taught me to be loving, caring and compassionate towards others and find small victories in everything.
Emma: My mom because she is always there for me and is the strongest women I know.

Something impressive you know how to do:
Collea: Other than gymnastics, I produce photography mainly sports photography and I learned from watching YouTube videos and reading things online!
Emma: I can braid hair really fast.
