LINCOLN, NE — The Maryland volleyball team (18-9, 6-9 Big Ten) fell to the No. 11 Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday night, 3-0. (25-11, 26-24, 25-17)
Sam Csire led the Terps in kills with nine, with
Paula Neciporuka following her with six kills of her own.
Laila Ricks finished tied with a team-high five blocks.
Sydney Dowler finished the game with a service ace and team-high 17 assists, and
Milan Gomillion led the team with 20 digs.
Breaking Down The Action
- Two kills apiece by Jones and Csire and Gomillion's five digs weren't enough as Nebraska took the first set on the back of five kills by Madi Kubik.
- Csire had five more kills in the second set, and Maryland held a 24-21 lead, but Nebraska stormed back and clinched an overtime win.
- The Maryland offense continued to sputter as they couldn't find an answer for the potent Cornhusker attack
