Terps Make 21st Straight NCAA Tournament, Play LIU in First Round

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland men's soccer team (12-3-2) earned its 39th NCAA Tournament appearance overall and 21st consecutive berth Monday afternoon as the NCAA field and bracket was revealed by the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee.
The Terrapins will face NEC Tournament champions LIU (11-4-4) in a first round match at 6 p.m., on Thursday night at Ludwig Field. The match will be shown on B1G+.
The Terps have won four national titles (1968, 2005, 2008, 2018) in school history and reached the round-of-16 in 19 of the last 27 years. Maryland's 21 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances represents the second longest active streak in the nation.
Maryland enters the tournament featuring six All-Big Ten selections: Ben Bender (Midfielder of the Year, First Team), Brett St. Martin (First Team), Joshua Bolma (Freshman of the Year, First Team), Niklas Neumann (Second Team), Caden Stafford (Freshman Team), William Kulvik (Freshman Team).
