How did you first get involved with the Terrapin Club?
Mark: I joined shortly after graduating from the University of Maryland. My father was a Terrapin Club member despite the fact that he never attended Maryland. He moved to the area in 1970 and instantly began following the Terps. My love for Maryland Athletics and the University helped lead me going here for college and then joining the Terrapin Club upon graduation.
What motivates you to give so generously?
Mark: I like to give to causes that I believe in, bring me joy, or ones I believe I can help. Whether it's the Terrapin Club, my Church or other organizations, I feel that I am blessed to be in a position to help
Do you have a message you would like to share with other donors and fans?
Mark: If you have been fortunate enough to be able to get through these difficult times then please remember that it is just as important to give now as it was before the pandemic started, and it'll be important to continue to give after
Do you have an anecdote about Maryland Athletics or the Terrapin Club that you would share?
Mark: My earliest memory of a Maryland sporting event was in 1971 when the Terps beat South Carolina 31-30 in men's basketball. The Terps stalled the whole first half and led 4-3 at halftime. We eventually scored on a steal at the end of the game to seal the victory. Fans stormed the court and carried Lefty off the floor. Another memory was when I was 10 years old and saw the Terps face off against Bear Bryant and the Crimson Tide at Byrd Stadium

What do you hope Maryland Athletics will achieve this year?
Mark: I hope for an NCAA tournament berth for Men's Basketball, a National Championship for Men's Lacrosse, an Elite Eight for Women's Basketball, and a bowl game for football
If you could go back in time and witness one Terps game live (in any sport), what would it be and why?
Mark: I would attend the 2002 NCAA Championship for Men's Basketball. At the time, I was the father of 4 young children, so we had to watch the game from my home.Â
What is the first Maryland game you ever went to?
Mark: The legendary 31-30 Maryand over South Carolina Men's Basketball game in 1971 when I was 6
What makes Maryland Athletics so special?
Mark: For me, it's the history, that I grew up going to games, its my home state, and I where I, my wife, and 3 of my 4 children went to school
