Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland (11-0) stayed undefeated on Saturday afternoon as they dominated the Stony Brook Seawolves with yet another 3-0 win on the season.
The first set started off as a back-and-forth affair as both teams settled into the match. The Terps took advantage of seven errors by the Seawolves and
Sam Csire's four kills which gave the Terps a 25-19 win, putting them up 1-0.
The second set was a much closer affair as both team's stayed with three points of each other the entire time. Stony Brook looked as if they were going to snap Maryland's set win streak as they took a 23-22 lead and had the momentum. However, Maryland buckled down and used kills by
Paula Neciporuka and
Laila Ricks along with a service error to prevail 25-23.
The third and final set was all Terps as Neciporuka and Ricks carried over their strong performances in the second set to lift their team to yet another win, 25-12, sweeping the Seawolves in the process.
Staying Undefeated
- The Terps improved to 11-0 on the young season, the best start under Head Coach Adam Hughes. It's the program's best start since an 11-0 beginning back in 2017.
- Overall the team has won 33 out of a total 36 sets this season with 20 consecutive set victories dating back to the fourth set of the Temple match on Friday, September 3, 2021.

Balanced Defense
- Maryland's defense was on full display as all but one Terp registered at least one dig on the afternoon.
- Milan Gomillion led the team with 16 digs with Neciporuka following her up with 14.
