COLLEGE PARK, Md. — No. 8 Maryland men's soccer dominated against Delaware in its regular season home finale on Tuesday night at Ludwig Field, pulling out a 4-1 win over the Blue Hens. Four different Terps scored in the victory as goalkeeper Jamie Lowell held Delaware scoreless until the 86th minute.

Maryland (9-2-4, 4-0-3 Big Ten) looks to clinch at least a share of the Big Ten championship in its season finale on the road Sunday against Indiana (5-1-2, 3-1-3 Big Ten).

Three of the Terps' scores came during a 30-minute period in the first half in which Griffin Dillon, Stefan Copetti and Justin Harris each netted impressive goals to give the Terps an early cushion. Harris' one-on-one goal came after just the second shot he'd taken all year — and it was his second goal. Mack DeVries added a late score, his second goal of the year.

Maryland held Delaware without a shot for the entire first half. Malcolm Johnston and Dillon each added two assists, while Hunter George, Joshua Bolma and Isaac Ngobu recorded one each.

The Terrapins improve to 9-2-4 on the season, while the Blue Hens fall to 4-10-2.

Breaking Down The Action

Griffin Dillon headed in a strong pass from Hunter George during the 14th minute to open the scoring.
About 10 minutes later, Joshua Bolma fired a cross toward Stefan Copetti, who knocked it past Delaware goalkeeper Adam Vik to give the Terrapins a 2-0 lead.
In the 33rd minute, Justin Harris received a pass from Dillon ahead of his defenders and hammered the shot past the goalkeeper, giving Maryland a 3-0 advantage in the first half.
After Delaware got on the board in the 86th minute, Maryland responded quickly. Mack DeVries scored off an assist from Isaac Ngobu to secure the three-goal win for the Terrapins.
