Terps Show Out At Tiger Style Invite, Kal Miller Finishes First

KANSAS CITY, MO -- Maryland hit the road for the first time this season and had seven of 11 wrestlers place at the Tiger Style Invite, highlighted by a first place finish by Kal Miller and second place for both Jaxon Smith and Michael North.
Miller started his day in the semifinal and claimed decisions in his two bouts to earn the 141-pound weight class title.
Smith was dominant all day, winning his first two bouts by fall, including his semifinal over No. 8 Zac Braunagel. He came up just short in the final against No. 5 Bernie Truax.
Michael North also stormed his way to the finals, winning his first two bouts, but he fell by 6-2 decision in the final.
Ethen Miller won his first two bouts before falling in the semifinals. He rebounded with two consecutive victories to take home the third place title.
Lucas Cordio took home fifth place.
