Hope Rose Named to 2022 Pan American Elite Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Sophomore Hope Rose was named to the 2022 Pan American Elite Team, the organization announced Friday.

Beginning in 2007 The Pan American Hockey Federation, has named Pan American Elite Teams every two years to recognize the top players in Pan American competitions. Sixteen women were selected, with Rose being one of just three Team USA members to receive the honor.

Rose was a member of the 2022 Pan American Cup squad that claimed fourth place in Santiago, Chile. In 2021, Rose was awarded Most Valuable Player of the Tournament at the 2021 Junior Pan American Championship, playing for a Team USA squad which earned a bronze medal in Santiago. The Dauphin, Pennsylvania native was also the top scorer at the 2021 Indoor Pan American Cup in Spring City, PA

The Sophomore forward was a key player for the Terps during their 2022 season, as she was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and the Big Ten All-Tournament team. She led Maryland in both goals (14) and points (36) while finishing fourth in assists (8).
