COLLEGE PARK, MD – Each week during the 2021-22 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Terp of the Week is junior Ariana Ealy-Pulido of women's track and field.
Ariana Ealy-Pulido and the women's track and field team competed at the Aggie Invite in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday (4/9). Competing in the 100m hurdles, Ealy-Pulido hurdled to a 13.70s finish. Her time set a new program record in the event, which was previously set in 2009.
Ealy-Pulido then doubled up for the Terps and competed in the 4x100 relay. The Terps squad sprinted to a 46.73s finish and took second place in the event.
Ariana Ealy-Pulido has now earned her first Terp of the week honor, in her first season with the program. The Maryland track and field teams will be back in action this Friday-Saturday at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University.
