Terps Welcome Sydney Urban To Maryland Soccer Program

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Sydney Urban, who started 16 games last season with Florida and earned SEC Academic Honor Roll twice, has transferred to Maryland to play for head coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer. A high school All-American and ECNL National Champion, the midfielder/defender comes to Maryland with three years of eligibility with the Terps.

As a Sophomore at Florida (2021): 
  • Played in 20 games with the Gators, starting 16 matches
  • First collegiate assist came off a corner kick in a win against LSU
  • Member of Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll

As a Freshman at Florida (2020-21): 
  • Appeared in all 17 matches, starting 11
  • Played the entire match six times
  • Averaged 70 minutes per match, sixth among Gator field players
  • Member of Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll
