BETHESDA, Md. -- The Broadcast & Production department in Maryland Athletics won three Capital Emmy Awards as announced by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, National Capital
Chesapeake Bay Chapter on Saturday at the 64th Annual Awards ceremony.
The Len Bias Documentary '34' about the Hall of Fame Maryland legend was honored with a Capital Emmy for Sports - One-Time Special, produced by Mike Farrell, Associate Athletic Director for Broadcasting & Production. In the category of Sports Story - Long Form Content, Game Changers on
Michael Locksley & Mental Health, also produced by Farrell, won an Emmy. In the category of Sports Program - Post-Produced or Edited, Season 2 of Unlocked, A Maryland Football Documentary Series, edited and produced by Haley Timple was honored with an Emmy.
Earlier this month, The Len Bias Documentary '34' also won a
National Sports Video Group award for Outstanding Special Feature in the Collegiate Division.
