LINCOLN, NE -- The Maryland women's soccer team came out on the wrong side on the road, as the Terrapins fell by a score of 3-0 against Nebraska.

Liz Beardsley did her part to keep the Terps in the match, as the junior goalkeeper had five saves in the match. The Terps had several chances throughout the match, but could get their chances in the back of the net.

Breaking Down the Action

Peyton Bernard got an opportunity in the 8th minute as the ball got away from a Nebraska defender, but the shot went off the crossbar.
Liz Beardsley picked up her first save of the match in the 25th minute.
Kennedy Bell had the ball fall to her feet on a cross into the box, but her left-footed shot was just stopped by the Nebraska keeper.
Liz Beardsley picked up a diving save just after halftime in the 46th minute.
Ava Morales put a shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the Nebraska keeper was able to get a hand on it.
Kelsey Smith got the ball on a deflection in the 64th minutes and fired in a shot on goal that was saved by the goalkeeper.

Coach Nemzer's Take
"I'm really proud of the way the team competed for 90 minutes. The score line does not reflect what we did today. We hit the post twice in the first 15-20 minutes and unfortunately it bounced out. They hit the post once and it went off our goalkeeper and it went in. I feel bad for the team because they competed well for 90 minutes and I don't think the score line reflects what they were able to do today."

The Terrapins finish their final road trip of the season with a meeting against Iowa on Oct. 15 at 1 PM.
The Terrapins and the Hawkeyes have met on seven occasions all-time, with Terps last win coming in a 4-0 victory back on Sept. 14, 2018.
