LYNCHBURG, VA- The University of Maryland women's tennis team finished their first day of competition at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships.
The Terps had a strong showing on day one, going undefeated in the qualifying round for singles.

Ela Platenikova, and
Diya Challa swept their qualifying slate and will each move into the main draw.
"Diya, Fran and Ela did a great job competing today," Head Coach
Katie Dougherty said. "Our goal was to qualify all three in and they were able to take control early in matches and put themselves in a great position to do just that."
"The real work begins again tomorrow and we've put ourselves in a great position with eight players in the singles draw and 10 players in the doubles," Coach Dougherty said.
Day two will feature the first round of the main draw for doubles and the first two rounds of the main draw for singles.
