Copetti’s Goal Lifts Terps To 1-0 Win Over Bowling Green On Senior Night

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Terps picked up a big win on Senior Night, as senior Stefan Copetti's goal in the 38th minute was the difference in a 1-0 win over Bowling Green on Saturday night at Ludwig Field.
The Terps were on the front foot early and often and took control of momentum early. A big save from senior Jamie Lowell and Copetti's goal put the Terps up 1-0 at halftime and they never relinquished the lead.
Lowell finished with three saves and notched his second clean sheet of the season. Copetti's goal was his second of the season.
Matis De Jesus made the first start of his career.

- The Terps were on the front foot from the start and created several early chances.
- Jamie Lowell came out of the net to make a fantastic save on a Bowling Green breakaway attempt in the 17th minute to keep it scoreless.
- Shortly before halftime, Copetti took a nice touch from Colin Griffith, outsprinted his defender, and fired a hard-hit strike past the goalkeeper to give the Terps the lead.
- Neither team had a ton of chances in the second half as the Maryland defense shut down any attempts at a Bowling Green equalizer.
