EAST LANSING, MI — The University of Maryland volleyball team came up short in the first of their two games in the state of Michigan, falling to Michigan State 3-0 (14-25, 18-25, 22-25) on the road Friday night at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, MI.
The Terps were led by eight kills from Samantha Schnitta as well as 21-assist, 10-dig performance from Sydney Dowler.
The Spartans swung for a .167 clip in the match. Michigan State was led on defense by libero Nalani Iosia, who produced 17 digs.
The Terps fall to 15-10 on the season with a 5-8 Big Ten record, while the Spartans' record is boosted to 15-9 with a 7-6 conference mark.
