Field Hockey Staff Awarded NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region Coaching Staff Of The Year

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Head coach Missy Meharg, associate head coach Scott Tupper and assistant coach Kasey Tapman Asper of the Maryland field hockey program were awarded Mid-Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Friday.
The trio led an excellent 2023 campaign that saw the Terps earn a 17-6 overall record. The Terps battled to the finals of the B1G Tournament and earned the four-seed in the NCAA Tournament. They earned their 35th trip to the dance, as well as host position for the first and second round.
Coach Meharg and her staff had five student athletes named to NFHCA All-Mid Atlantic Region Team and seven earned All-Big Ten honors.
