NCAA Championships
COLLEGE PARK, MD - Jeff Kline is set to represent the Maryland Track and Field team at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas. Kline will compete in the shot put, scheduled to start at 8:30 P.M.
A junior from Blandon, PA, Kline qualified for the championships by throwing 18.84m at the East First Round in Jacksonville, Florida two weeks ago. The top twelve moved onto the championships, and Kline's throw landed him in 11th place out of 48 competitors.
Kline currently sits at 2nd all-time in the Maryland record books in the shot put, only behind Ian Pyka, who was also the last Terp to place at the NCAA Championships in the men's shot put in 1979.
