UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – The Terps suffered a tightly-contested defeat at Penn State on Tuesday evening, falling to the Nittany Lions by a score of 1-0.
A Penn State goal in the 39th minute proved to be the difference in the match.
Three guys, Mack Devries, Joe McDaid and Cameron Gerber made their first starts as Terps. Maryland is now 1-3-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play while Penn State moved to 4-1-2, 2-0-0.

- The first 35 minutes of action were relatively quiet with Maryland controlling possession.
- Penn State took advantage of a Maryland giveaway in the 39th minute to score.
- The Terps got their best opportunity of the night just under 10 minutes into the second half as a flick from Riley led to a prime chance for Copetti, forcing the Penn State keeper to make a save.
- Seger came up with an excellent, diving save in the 57th minute, stopping a good Nittany Lions chance.
- Seger notched his third great save of the half with just under six minutes left to play, coming out and making another diving stop to keep the Terps in it.
