COLLEGE PARK, MD- The Maryland Terrapins defeated Liberty 4-0 on Saturday at the JTCC.
Maryland took an early 1-0 lead after taking the doubles point.
Kallista Liu took a convincing 6-1, 6-2 singles win in the #3 spot to push the Terps ahead 2-0.
Francesca Feodorov and Selma Cadar then clinched the 4-0 win for Maryland.
With the win the Terps improve to 5-0 at home.
"This was a hard fought win over a very good Liberty team,the final score doesn't tell the whole story, " said Head Coach Katie Dougherty, "Doubles set the tone for the day, our #1 team has been super solid this spring and were again today and #2 is a brand new team and did an excellent job stepping up."
"We've got a quick turnaround to another big opportunity tomorrow against Memphis," said Coach Dougherty
