COLLEGE PARK, MD- The No. 52 Maryland Terrapins defeated George Mason 4-0 in the Terps second of two matches on Saturday after defeating Rutgers in the first.
The Terps started fast out the gate, with
Minorka Miranda and
Maria Budin sweeping the No. 1 doubles match 6-0.
Selma Cadar and
Francesca Feodorov quickly followed winning the No. 2 doubles match 6-1.
Katherine Hung and
Aida Eissa also had a strong showing in doubles, leading 5-0 in the No. 3 doubles match when doubles play ended.
Singles play was much of the same for the Terps with
Kallista Liu sweeping the No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0 increasing her singles winning streak to four and putting Maryland ahead 2-0.
Maria Budin followed with a strong 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 3 singles match. Freshman
Katherine Hung stepped up, winning the No. 6 singles match 6-1, 6-2 to clinch the match victory.
Maryland's wins over George Mason and Rutgers improved the Terps home record to 10-1.
