COLLEGE PARK, MD - The University of Maryland women's tennis team will return to action in Ann Arbor, MI for the 2024 Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament on Thursday, April 25. The match will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.Â
The Terrapins are coming into the tournament as the No. 6 seed and will play the winner of the first round match between No. 14 seed Indiana and No. 11 seed Nebraska, which is being played on April 24.
The Terps are currently ranked at No. 50 for ITA's team rankings this week and finished the regular season 16-9 overall. The team features
Selma Cadar, who is ranked No. 77 in singles andÂ
Minorka Miranda and
Maria Budin who are ranked No. 73 in doubles.
In their most recent match, the TerpsÂ
upset No. 29 Wisconsin in a 4-3 comeback victory on Senior Day to close out the regular season. It was the highest ranked win for the Terps since 2013.Â
Maryland finished the regular season with a stellar 12-1 record at home and is currently on a five match win streak.Â
Both
Kallista Liu and Cadar in singles, and Miranda and Budin in doubles will come into the tournament with over of 20 wins for 2023-24.
