COLLEGE PARK, MD- The No. 54 Maryland Terrapins won their Mental Health Awareness Match on Sunday, defeating Indiana 6-1.

Selma Cadar and Kallista Liu opened the match with a 6-1 win in the No. 2 doubles match. #61 Minorka Miranda and Maria Budin followed by taking the No. 1 doubles match 6-2 securing the doubles point for Maryland and a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

The Terps extended their lead to 2-0 thanks to #66 Selma Cadar winning the No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-2.

Kallista Liu took the No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-1 to push the Terps ahead 3-0. Minorka Miranda then took the No. 2 singles match 6-3, 6-1 to clinch the match win for Maryland and a 4-0 lead.

Indiana then took the No. 6 singles match to get on the board but Maria Budin quickly responded winning the No. 4 singles match 6-2, 7-5 to earn the Terrapins fifth point and a 5-1 lead. 

Diya Challa closed out the match with a hard fought third set tie breaker win 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 to seal the 6-1 win for Maryland.
