COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland women's soccer finished with a 0-0 draw against Northwestern on Sept. 26 at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium.
The Terps' defense, led by Katie Coyle, Halle Johnson and Tahirah Turnage-Morales, kept the Wildcats scoreless on 20 shots.
Senior goalkeeper Liz Beardsley made eight saves, tying her career high. Through 12 games, she ranks among the top three in the Big Ten Conference with a total of 47 saves. The shutout was her fourth of the season and also her 10th at Maryland, tying her with Cailin Mullins (1990-93) for ninth in program history.
